Can Pakistan get a Woman Prime Minister after decennium?

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), the grand alliance of 11 opposition parties against Imran Khan's government in Pakistan, staged its second major public rally in Jinnah-Bagh, Karachi on Sunday. Leaders of several other opposition parties, including Mariam Nawaz, Bilawal Bhutto, shared the stage and asked the people to intensify the anti-government movement. The rally was addressed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party president Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman.


Let us tell you that Fazlur Rahman has been appointed as the head of the first phase of the alliance. However, former Prime Minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif were not allowed to address the rally via video link, as he had earlier received on October 16 during the PDM's first power show in Gujranwala city. The first rally of the opposition alliance took place in Gujranwala, in which PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, in his speech, accused Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa of leaving his government and making manipulations for Imran Khan's government.

The protest in Karachi was the second demonstration organized in three days by the Pakistani Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of opposition parties. The PDM is a coalition of nine main opposition parties that has planned to launch agitations against the government across the country. Media censorship in Pakistan under the leadership of Khan and drastic action against differences, critics and opposition has increased.


Nawaz said the attack in the first rally

At the first rally of the Pakistan Democratic Movement, an alliance of 11 opposition parties in Gujranwala, Nawaz Sharif fiercely targeted Imran Khan and the army. Nawaz Sharif had said that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa overthrew my government. He rigged the 2018 elections and imposed Nakabil Imran Khan on the country. General Bajwa is a direct crook and he has to answer for it. He also attacked Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) for being behind his government's demolition and said that the whole episode took place with the help of ISI chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed.


Bhutto became the first female Prime Minister in a Muslim-majority nation, as well as Pakistan's second nationally elected Prime Minister. At 35 years old, she was the youngest chosen leader in the Islamic world, the world's youngest Prime Minister, and the youngest female Prime Minister ever is chosen.
